Mountain Laurel Lodge pays for water, sewer and garbage. The tenant pays for all other utilities including electrical for heat, hot water, appliances and lights.

Please note that there are 7 one-bedroom units and 1 two-bedroom unit available at the 50% income qualifying level and there are 35 one-bedroom units and 11 two-bedroom units available at the 60% income qualifying level.

The income limits and rental rates are subject to State approval and to change. The income limits and rental rates will vary based on the annual determination of Area Median Income for Deschutes County, Oregon.  

 

Your gross annual income is the total of your income from the following sources: 

  • Wages & Salary
  • Social Security
  • Pensions
  • Annuities
  • Disability Income
  • Unemployment Income
  • Public Assistance (not Section 8)
  • Recurring Monetary Gifts

Plus your income from assets calculated by multiplying your total assets by 2% or taking the actual income from your assets, whichever is greater. Your total assets is the sum of the following: 

  • Bank Accounts (Checking, Savings, CD's & Money Market Accounts)
  • Current Value of Real Estate
  • Current Value of Stocks
  • Current Value of Bonds
